Are you thinking about how AI will impact you?
“Alternative” Intelligence is already the present.
The question is not if, but how the construction industry and the design community could benefit from AI.
From a positive perspective, reducing the “human error factor” and improving the accuracy of data could support, for example, more accurate budgets allowances based on algorithm models at preliminary stages of the projects, or additional support to facilitate engineering disciplines.
Having robots as tradies on constructions site to support humans, building in a safer way and some would also say, building faster.
Will construction sites be completely automated at some point?
We are already planning for an automated building process for Moon and Mars settlements, so the technology will get there.
One of the many questions is:
Can an algorithm create art?
On the web there are already AI that automatically create logos, design interiors, make “digital art” and more: will that integrate harmoniously with the industry allowing for new Michelangelo or Leonardos to flourish or will the “handmade design” become “artificially made”?
How will Artificial Intelligence (AI) impact one of the most important factors for the human wellbeing? Artificial Light (AL) in built environments.
AI is a mirror of who we are, and it is up to us to make sure it becomes of support to our activities and not a replacement.
What’s your opinion?
