Tyro HQ - Sydney
Light it Design and Geyer worked to gether to bring to life the new Tyro HQ
To design with lighting is like tailoring a beautiful dress, sewing it to flow with the body of the interior design.
Among the manyelements we consider on a project, key elements include : design concept - the vision of the design team; improving wellbeing also with Circadian lighting, cost, meeting the budget of the client and; to be environmentally friendly
DESIGN CONCEPT is critical to get the Architect/Interior Design vision of the space on board. What’s one of the first thing you think about offices? The ceiling grid. On the Tyro project, in collaboration with Geyer, we transformed and reinterpreted this element for the lighting for the front of house space(FOH).
The linearity of the grid structure is “broken into pieces” for the front of house and it becomes the lighting source, leaving room for invisible lines and pattens to stimulate imagination and encouraging the end user to think outside the box.
The alternate use of linear fitting with opal diffusers and point source lights help to create a theatrical effect, avoiding a uniform light wash throughout but, focussing on the use of the space. Lighting keeps into consideration what we call “Integrated Design”, also known in the industry as “Neurodiverse Design”. If you want to know more, contact us
COSTS: the lighting was designed and delivered to comfortably sit within the agreed budget.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY an average of 30% energy savings has been achieved with the new lighting installation.
