University of Technology Sydney. Joyful with style, this is the aim of the Lighting Design for the UTS Building 10 Info Centre. Immediately recognisable, it creates a vibrant atmosphere suited to the main users. The info centre, in general, represents the business card of an Educational facility and the first point of approach and direction. The variation of colours supports a dynamic visual interest. The use of indirect lighting integrated within timber structure was a major challenge. Thanks to the collaboration between lighting designer, interior designer, supplier and builder, the technical task of ensuring correct heat dissipation of light sources (essential for not overheating and shortening the life of the luminaires) was achieved successfully.
